Our concern with contemporary global security and the management of serious threats manifests itself directly in our intensive study of nuclear, biological and chemical weapons proliferation, their means of delivery and concepts of deterrence. It is here where the centre engages most specifically on matters of government policy, and where it has developed an international reputation.

Members of the centre conduct focused research on every manner of WMD proliferation, dealing especially with British non-proliferation policies and the proliferation prevention activities of international organisations.
